This is one of the flagship items from well-known brewery “KATO KICHIBEE” of Fukui perfecture of Japan. It was awareded gold medal in the IWC. Made with the highest quality of YAMADANISHIKI in Special Region “A” in HYOGO pref. 2Yrs of aging under 0 (zero) degree C that produces a fruity sake with an aroma reminiscent of grapefruit. It’s sophisticated yet mellow flavor flows irresistably over the tongue. It’s fully ripened aroma is ever present regardless of whether it’s warmed or chilled. Althought it is not common to recommend such a premium sake to enjoy warm, but please try and you’ll be convinced. Best serving is “Chilled”. But you can enjoy “On-the-rock” or “warmed” Sake.

This sake has matured in the tank for two years at low temperature. It is the “older sister” of the Jozen White. The aroma is a mix of mineral tones and fruit. The first sip is like water rushing over rocks. There are subtle swirls of peach, nectarine and juicy cherry that melt into a delicate rice grain finish. The mineral undertones of the water join together the sweet with the savory, and the past with the present.

Used “Gohyakumangoku”, a rice suitable for sake brewing from Fukui prefecture, for the entire amount of preparation, and pursued the taste of rice. It is a slightly dry sake with a rich taste. It goes well with not only fish dishes such as grilled fish, but also meat dishes such as meat and potatoes. Our sake is shipped after it has been fully aged without being filtered by carbon etc., so the sake has a slight amber color, but there is no problem with the quality.
